PhotoRec

PhotoRec is an open-source file recovery tool with command-line interface. Originally developed to recover accidentally deleted photo images, PhotoRec is now able to support 400+ different file formats including archiving, multimedia, document files, etc. PhotoRec works by searching for file blocks with known file headers in a file system. It can restore deleted files at least in NTFS, exFAT, ext2/ext3/ext4 and HFS+ filesystems. PhotoRec can also restore removed files from memory cards (CompactFlash, Memory Stick, SD, SmartMedia) of digital cameras, USB memory sticks, raw disk images, and more.
