Mutt is an open-source email program (Mail User Agent) with terminal-based user interface. Mutt supports POP3/IMAP/SMTP email protocols and multiple mailbox formats (mbox, MH, MMDF, maildir). It comes with integrated support for PGP/GPG, so you can encrypt, decrypt and sign email messages using GnuPG within Mutt. Other features include MIME support (character encoding, attachments), user-defined keyboard macros, threaded conversation, regular expression based search, message tagging, custom mail headers, contact management, custom color definition, and integration with external programs such as web browsers and text editors.
